As an editor at Blues Revue magazine for 12 years, Ken Bays helped introduce the world to then-emerging artists such as North Mississippi Allstars, Susan Tedeschi and Ruthie Foster, and interviewed such legendary artists as Robert Cray, Ike Turner and Bettye LaVette. Ken also has written about indie rock, roots music and singer-songwriters for All Music Guide, About.com, American Songwriter, Performing Songwriter and other outlets. He has produced an award-nominated compilation CD of protest songs, served as a publication manager for an international corporation, and currently does freelance work as a music publicist and copyeditor. Ken lives in West Virginia with his fiancée, one dog, one cat and a CD collection large enough to rule out relocation for the foreseeable future.
